This body of work Natures Perfection, engaged glass, enameling and mixed media processes to explore the fluidity of movement and purity of form found in nature. Since early childhood I have always been fascinated and enamored by nature’s perfection. The characteristics of nature that inform my work are form, colour and movement, coupled with the delicacy and resilience of nature.

My research centered on developing my understanding of carnivorous plants, specifically the Pitcher Plant, Venus Fly Trap and Sarracenia Flava. The process of making is an essential aspect of my artistic practice. Using methods of drawing and clay modelling I worked to capture the fluidity, delicacy, fragility and movement of these Carnivorous Plants in glass media. Through my artwork I hope to share an appreciation of the perfection that can be found in nature.
