Structured forms, shapes with architectural influences would describe my work best.

My current body of work entitled Connected, depicts my visual interpretations of the ever-changing Dublin cityscape and the construction works that have enabled it to be realized. My identity is imbedded in being a Dubliner and having grown up in Dublin I experienced first-hand the impact of the cities constant development. It is these experiences that have informed the narratives of my work and inspired me to document the recent Luas roadwork developments and to record how these construction works have changed the face of my city.

In a city environment a building site is readily identified by the colors of high visibility jackets worn and the signage surrounding the site. I have integrated some of these colours into components of my work such as, the wooden components which reference the shapes of buildings affected by the Luas construction including; the Shelbourne Hotel and the Stevens Green Shopping Centre whose geographical coordinates form the titles of these works. I use the dynamic flow of pure line to evoke the concept of change.
